GIFs to show Chrono Express’s game mechanics

The v1.2.1 update of ChronoExpress has been released in China, Hongkong, Taiwan and Singapore APP Store. With this major update, we thought the game’s quality is (FINALLY) ready for the global market. So in the last week, we were busy translating Chrono Express into English. And now, it’s done! I think it’s a good time to show some GIFs and explain the basic mechanics of Chrono Express while waiting for the APP Store review.

HOME SCREEN

In order to create an interesting steam-punk atmosphere, we’ve designed a 3D environment for the home screen. You can access different menus from here by clicking different devices. The menu will show after a short camera transition animation. We’ve enjoyed building such a complex home screen very much. It may not response so quickly, but I think it will be fun to look at and use.

A PLATFORMER WITH A LOOK OF ENDLESS-RUNNING

We like endless-running game, it’s simple and quick. But we are tired of the repeating and boring level design of most endless-running games.

As a BIG fun of Mario series, we decided to make a platformer game with simplified control. This game may looks like another 3d endless running (especially at the early levels), but soon, you’ll find you need to sharpen your driving and jumping skill in order to beat the challenging procedural game levels.

In Chrono Express, you can fly by picking up a “Wing” power-up. It gives you the ability to jump endless times in the air!

Because it’s a game about express delivering, and it’s not another endless-running, we’ve designed a finish for this game. You are able to, and have to end your running for each play!
